‘All the world’s a stage’, rightly said William Shakespeare in ‘As You Like It’ and the essence of space and intimate theater has been the major thought behind this event. There were 7 episodes of this journey Along with two of our own productions, ‘Aste Ladies’ and ‘Bhasar Naam Shuktara’, five eminent groups presented their theatrical inventions. Asansol Repartory Theater (‘Sarameya Katha’), Kathavashya(‘Salesman 69’ ), Asansol Charyapada (‘Na Pathano Chithi’), Metho Rango (‘Bhrom Noksha’) and Dishari(‘Dead Body’) collaborated with their remarkable participation.
The most eminent addition to this journey was invited talks of theatre artists, who happen to be woman. From veterans like Chhaya Bhattacharya and Swapna Roy, youngsters like Torsha, Debasmita, Deependri, Aritri, Aindrila, Shubhra and Arunima, everyone put their best foot forward in discussing the evolution of theater through time. Pali Bhattacharya, Reeta Dutta, Sayanti Chatterjee and social activist Sharmila Bandyopadhyay enriched the platform with their glorious experiences and stories of victory.
